Ohhh I’m so sorry that that happened to you! No coach should act like that to a team member.
Honestly I think that you should talk to your athletic director as that’s what the next tier of power would be. Explain that you’ve been in pain and just wanted to be able to recover, and then explain/tell of the conversation you had with your coach where he sort of kicked you off the team.
If your athletic director can’t do anything then does your school have an athletic trainer? He could give you a ‘what you’re allowed to do’ list before you return to the team.
But athletic director is best bet I think. Also, (like my school has 5 coaches for track, no idea why we’re in the smallest class of schools) if your school has multiple coaches maybe you could talk to another one? Like a mid-distance coach or a sprinter/jumper coach or even just a second coach to see if you can practice with them or if they can talk to your other coach.
And again oh my god I’m so sorry your coach did that. :(
I’d give you a hug but I can’t through the screen.
